Eva Abella

Principal User Experience Researcher at Amtrak

Eva Abella has extensive work experience in the field of user experience research. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Design Intern at Amazon.com, where they assisted with user research and conducted usability sessions. Eva then joined Blink Interactive as a Researcher in 2012 before moving on to Amazon as a User Researcher in 2013. At Amazon, Eva worked on various teams and projects, including the Prime and Delivery Experience teams and the Core Shopping Experience team. Eva also ran the Open Lab program, a user research initiative for projects without dedicated research resources. In 2017, Eva worked as a User Experience Researcher contractor at AT&T before joining Wabtec Corporation as a Sr. UX Design Researcher in 2019. In 2020, they became the User Experience Manager at KALERIS, and most recently, Eva was appointed as the Principal User Experience Researcher at Amtrak in 2023.

Eva Abella completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Computer Science at Washington University in St. Louis from 2006 to 2010. Eva then pursued a Master of Science degree in Human Centered Design and Engineering at the University of Washington from 2010 to 2012.
