John Beres

John Beres is an experienced financial professional currently serving as Lead Analyst and formerly Senior Financial Analyst at Amtrak since July 2017. In these roles, John designs and implements high-level financial reports aligned with requirements from the Federal Railroad Association (FRA) and oversees the management of Amtrak's Capital Budget and yearly forecasts. Prior to Amtrak, John held positions as Business Analyst at Ankura Consulting, Analyst at the National Democratic Institute, and Operations Specialist at Aegis Defence Services Ltd, where support was provided for security operations in Kabul, Afghanistan.
