Mark Nichols

Mark Nichols is an experienced professional in project and construction management with a significant tenure at Amtrak since May 2022 as a Senior Principal Project Manager and Capital Construction Manager. Prior to this, a long career at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) spanned over three decades, culminating in the role of Director of Maintenance & Construction. Earlier experience includes positions as Assistant Director of Maintenance & Construction and Maintenance Manager, along with initial work as a Mason 1st Class. Mark's career began in bricklaying with Lux Industries and US Steel Works Inc. Mark holds a Project Management Certificate from Penn State University and has degrees from Drexel University and Washington Institute of Technology. Educational background includes a high school diploma from Waynesburg Central High School.
