Michael Kates is an experienced operations leader with a strong background in transportation and project management. Serving as the Senior Director of Operations Planning at Amtrak since November 2013, Michael is currently leading the iLMS project. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Vice President of Operations at Philadelphia Trolley Works from April 2004 to November 2013, and previously worked at Amtrak as Senior Director of Operations from June 1986 to April 2004. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Immaculata University.
