Peter Porpiglia

Vice President, Global Product Development at Amvac Chemical

Peter Porpiglia has been working in the global product development field for over 20 years. Peter began their career at Novartis in 1980 as the Director of R&D. In this role, they managed the development program for the largest global crop protection company in the world at the time. Peter then moved to K-I Chemical USA, Inc. in 1998, where they led the development of several new products in North America, Australia, and other countries for agricultural crop uses. In 2007, they joined TyraTech, Inc. as the Vice President of Development. In this role, they developed a state-of-the-art, patented, consumer product line around natural plant oils. Peter has been with Amvac Chemical Corp. since 2010 and is currently the Vice President of Global Product Development.

Peter Porpiglia's educational career began with a B.S. in Ornamental Horticulture from Cornell University. Peter then went on to earn an MS in Horticulture from Virginia Tech, followed by a Ph.D. in Plant Physiology from the same school.

Peter Porpiglia reports to Eric Wintemute, Chairman & CEO. Peter Porpiglia works with William A. Kuser - Director of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, Timothy J. Donnelly - Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary, and Scott Hendrix - Senior Vice President, U.S. and Canada Crop Sales and Application Technology.
