David Lavins

David Lavins is the President of Amwins Access at AmWINS Group. David has over 15 years of experience in the private equity industry.

David began their career as a consultant at Bain & Company. David then transitioned to Banc of America Capital Investors ("BACI"), where they were a Senior Associate and Associate. While at BACI, Dave focused primarily on financial services. In 2010, the principals of BACI spun out of Bank of America to form Ridgemont Equity Partners.

At Ridgemont Equity Partners, Dave was a Principal and Vice President. David focused on healthcare and pharma companies that were focused on lowering costs or improving clinical outcomes. David also served on the Board of Allied 100, Gallus BioPharmaceuticals, Hometown Urgent Care, and APE Companies.

In their current role as President of Amwins Access at AmWINS Group, David is responsible for leading the company's efforts to provide access to insurance for underserved communities.

David Lavins attended Dartmouth College, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Philosophy. David then attended the Episcopal Academy, followed by the CFA Institute. David is certified as a Chartered Financial Analyst from the CFA Institute.
