Katrin Jakob

Katrin Jakob has a diverse range of work experience spanning various roles and industries. Katrin is currently working at PHENOSPEX as a Technical Sales North America. Prior to that, they were with amynova polymers GmbH as a Business Development professional.

In 2014, they became a Managing Partner at California Business Associates, LLC. Katrin also held the position of Business Development at Plant-DiTech from 2020 to 2022.

Katrin has been involved in nonprofit work as well, serving as a Board Member for Biotech Partners Inc, where they focused on providing educational and professional development opportunities for underserved youth.

Additionally, Katrin Jakob has served as a Mentor at THRIVE AGTECH and as Co-Founder of White Hawk Software.

Their earlier career includes roles as a Senior Scientist at Mendel Biotechnology, Inc., where they contributed to the development of biofuel crops and research collaboration. Katrin also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Assistant at the University of Chicago, and as a Research Scientist at the Federal Agricultural Research Center.

Throughout their career, Katrin Jakob has demonstrated a strong background in business development, scientific research, and leadership positions.

Katrin Jakob completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Crop Science at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from 1985 to 1990. Katrin then pursued their PhD in Crop Science at Justus Liebig University Giessen, which they completed in 1995. Later, they obtained a Certificate of Completion in Bay Area Regional NSF I-Corps Lean Startup with White Hawk Software from the University of California, Berkeley in 2015.
