Daniel D. Canale

Dr. Daniel Canale has more than 40 years of experience in clinical and surgical pathology, and has served as a member of the board of directors of several organizations. He most recently was Acting Medical Director of XBiotech, Inc. in the company’s early stage. Previously, Dr. Canale practiced Surgical Pathology at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, TN, where he also directed the Hematology Lab and the Clinical Chemistry Lab. In prior years, he was on the Clinical Faculty of the Vanderbilt University Department of Pathology and on the Clinical Faculty of the University of Tennessee, where he served as Director of the School of Medical Technology. Dr. Canale received his M.D. degree from Vanderbilt University Medical School and completed his residency training at Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he was Chief Resident in Laboratory Medicine and served as an instructor in the Yale University School of Medicine.
