Richard Kondo

Vice President Strategic Partnerships at AnaBios

Richard Kondo has over 20 years of experience in the field of biotechnology. Richard began their career in 1996 as a Postdoctoral Fellow at UCLA. In 2000, they became a Project Scientist at the University of California, San Diego, where they conducted research on the electrophysiological mechanisms underlying cardiac arrhythmias in genetically altered mice. In 2006, they joined Molecular Devices as an Application Scientist, providing pre- and post-sales support of drug discovery platforms to pharmaceutical, biotech and academic customers. In 2010, they became a Regional Sales Representative at Photon Technology International, Inc., providing technical sales of fluorescence spectroscopy and fluorescence imaging platforms for the New England territory. In 2011, they were hired as a Territory Sales Manager at Digilab Global. In 2012, they became a Senior Sales Representative at MP Biomedicals, where they were responsible for technical sales of sample preparation and biochemicals, proteins and fine chemicals for biopharma. In 2013, they were appointed as the North American Sales Manager at Sophion Bioscience A/S. Most recently, in 2019, they joined AnaBios Corporation as the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Director of Business Development.

Richard Kondo received their B.A. in Physics from Reed College in 1984 and their Ph.D. in Cellular Biophysics from Boston University in 1995.
