Nicolas has a long history of straddling the line between computational and bench science having earned degrees in computer science but also a Ph.D. on directed evolution using DNA encoded libraries. He has also built and led machine learning engineering teams. He launched Anagenex to accelerate drug discovery by combining DELs and machine learning to rapidly explore chemical space.
