Data Scientist at Analytica

Kyle Sauln has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Kyle has worked as a Data Scientist at Analytica since 2021, where they are currently involved in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) Program Integrity Modeling and Analytic Support Contract (PIMASC) with Deloitte as a Team Lead. In this role, they are responsible for performing Medicare and Medicaid data analysis and developing models to identify providers potentially committing fraud, waste, and abuse.

Before joining Analytica, Kyle worked as a Referee for the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association since 2015, officiating junior varsity and varsity boys and girls soccer games and ensuring the enforcement of game rules and sportsmanship.

Prior to that, they served as a Data Analyst III at CGS Administrators, LLC from 2018 to 2020. In this role, they collaborated with medical review and medical directors to identify areas of improper Medicare billing and created a regression model for predicting various dependent variables.

From 2014 to 2018, Kyle worked as a Statistician at NCI, Inc. Here, they utilized multiple software applications, including MS Access, MS Excel, SAS, SQL, R, and Python, to develop innovative analytical approaches, statistical methods, predictive models, and data mining techniques to combat Medicare and Medicaid fraud.

Kyle also has experience as a Referee for the United States Soccer Federation from 2003 to 2016, refereeing soccer games at various levels and overseeing player and coach behavior.

Additionally, Kyle has held positions such as Teacher Assistant at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Assistant Coach at The College at Brockport State University of New York, Product Selector at Wegmans Food Markets, and Player for The College at Brockport State University of New York Men's Soccer team.

In 2010, they gained practical experience through a summer internship at Paychex.

Kyle Sauln has an extensive education history in the field of statistics and mathematics. Kyle earned a Master's Degree in Applied Statistics from the Rochester Institute of Technology, which they pursued from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics at SUNY Brockport from 2008 to 2011.

Before entering higher education, Kyle attended Rush-Henrietta Senior High School, where they completed their High School education with a focus on Advanced Regents from 2005 to 2008.

In addition to their academic degrees, Kyle has also obtained several certifications to further enhance their expertise. Kyle completed certifications such as "Natural Language Processing with Python," "R Programming A-Z: R for Data Science with Real Exercises," "Data Science & Deep Learning for Business™ 20 Case Studies," "Interactive Python Dashboards with Plotly and Dash," "Deep Learning A-Z™: Hands-On Artificial Neural Networks," and "Python for Data Science and Machine Learning Bootcamp" from Udemy, an online learning platform. Kyle also earned a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the Rochester Institute of Technology. These certifications were obtained between 2014 and 2023.
