Adrian Pearl's work experience began in 2012 when they served as the Advertising Sales Manager for The Johns Hopkins News-Letter. In this role, they led the advertising sales staff, sought new revenue streams, and coordinated with the editorial team.
After that, Adrian worked as a Learning Den Tutor for the JHU Office of Academic Support, assisting students in their Mechanical Engineering coursework.
In 2015, Adrian became part of the JHU Mechanical Engineering Senior Design Project team, where they designed a new bike lock concept for Kryptonite, gaining experience in machine shop skills and manufacturing processes.
Adrian worked as an Engineering Intern at Tomorrow Lab in 2017, followed by a position as an Afterschool Coding and Robotics Specialist at WHEDco.
In 2019, Adrian gained experience as a Data Visualization Scientist Intern at UNDP, where they worked on data content, visualizations, and data stories, as well as creating interactive data visualizations and dashboards.
They later joined NYU Public Safety Lab as a Data Scientist, responsible for designing and deploying a custom AWS backend to collect and aggregate jail roster data. They also served as the Lead Data Engineer, orchestrating the execution of python scripts.
Lastly, Adrian is currently working as a Data Platform Engineer at Gastrograph AI. They designed and deployed a custom AWS service layer and maintained a continuous integration pipeline for data scientists to deploy code changes.

Adrian Pearl pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Science from New York University from 2018 to 2020. Prior to this, they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, spanning from 2012 to 2016. Adrian Pearl also attended Ethical Culture Fieldston School for high school, which they completed from 2008 to 2012.
