Krishan Vijayakumar

Krishan Vijayakumar has a diverse work experience starting from 2016. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Combat Engineer Specialist in the Singapore Armed Forces. In 2017, they joined Premium SG as a Software Developer, where they played a core role in building a performant and responsive web application using the Flask framework.

In 2020, Krishan worked as a Software Engineer Intern at StaffAny, a fast-growing HRTech startup. During their internship, they gained experience in developing new features for web and mobile using React and React Native. Krishan also learned about test-driven development, QA processes, and code reviews.

Following their internship, Krishan joined Mplify as a Mobile Application Developer. Krishan built a mobile application using Flutter with a Flask backend to handle inventory top-ups for the company's brick and mortar stores.

In 2021, Krishan worked at two different companies. Firstly, they joined Gastrograph AI as a Data and Platform Engineer. Here, they worked with the world's largest sensory dataset, developing flavor preference models and generating insights into product competitiveness. Krishan gained proficiency in technologies like Clojure, R, Kubernetes, Argo, Terraform, and MLOps with the AWS stack.

Secondly, they joined Onigiri.AI as a Full Stack Engineer. Krishan built a web app using Elm and a Hasura backend for investor mapping, fundraising navigation, and investor relationship management.

Throughout their work experience, Krishan demonstrated their technical skills in various programming languages and frameworks while working in agile teams. Krishan also gained knowledge in software engineering best practices such as test-driven development and code reviews.

Krishan Vijayakumar pursued a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore, which they began in 2018 and is expected to complete in 2023. In 2021, they also participated in the NOC New York Batch 15 program at the National University of Singapore. Additionally, Krishan has obtained a certification in "DS102: Data Analytics With Python" from Hackwagon Academy in January 2019.
