Anama Studio, founded in Barcelona in 2023, is an interdisciplinary practice that bridges architecture and structural engineering.

Grounded in a nuanced understanding of the traditional built environment, we embrace multiplicity to generate spaces of cultural resonance and draw upon heritage to create new relevance, thereby preserving a sense of place, identity, and beauty. With a relentless pursuit of the essential, we strive to weave innovation with tradition, bringing forth architecture that is simultaneously forward-looking and deeply rooted in the values of our communities.

To address the urgent challenges presented by climate change, our research and practice aim to broaden the boundaries of pioneering design and novel engineering solutions, exploring sustainable construction paradigms through computational design tools. By leveraging the fundamental laws of mechanics, we develop efficient and elegant structural systems that minimise the carbon footprint through optimised material distribution and reduced construction waste. The incorporation of material science and its mechanical behaviour within parametric interfaces allows us to intertwine form and force from the earliest design stages, achieving the optimal alignment between architectural intent and efficient structural performance.

We believe that shared creativity fosters the delicate balance between artistic beauty, cultural identity, and ecological responsibility.
