Greg Reuter

Greg Reuter has worked in the IT field since 2004. Greg began their career as an intern at Hy Vee, where they traveled to retail locations to replace physical Active Directory controllers and SQL servers with replicated virtual machines on Hyper-V. Greg also imaged and replaced desktops at retail locations, and updated software and firmware of various instore devices. Reuter then became an Assistant Manager at Hy Vee, where they were responsible for supervising employees and developing rapport with customers.

In 2011, Reuter began working at Kinze Manufacturing, Inc. as a Network Administrator, where they implemented and maintained network security and maintained physical IP cameras and camera server/software. Greg also worked as an Endpoint Administrator, creating and maintaining client device baselines and managing endpoint security solutions. In addition, they were a Technical Support Specialist, providing tier 1 and tier 2 support for desktops, printers, and mobile devices.

In 2019, Reuter moved to the University of Iowa Health Care as a Senior Systems Administrator. Their responsibilities included maintaining the health of the VMware infrastructure, automating VMware tasks using PowerCLI and PowerShell, and automating iDrac and server tasks using PowerShell.

Currently, Reuter is a System Engineer at ANATOMY_IT, where they administer endpoint security solutions internally and for external clients. Greg also acts as an escalation point for security related issues and provides input on policy and solutions as a member of the internal security team. Greg also provisions VPNs and maintains secure WAN connectivity solutions.

Greg Reuter attended Iowa State University - Ivy College of Business from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a Management Information Systems (MIS) degree. Prior to this, they attended Des Moines Area Community College from 2006 to 2008, where they completed general education courses. Greg also holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)², obtained in July 2022.
