Anna Quattropani

SVP Chemistry and Non-Clinical Development at Anavo Therapeutics BV

Anna Quattropani has extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Anna started their career at Givaudan as a Laboratory Head, where they focused on process development and the design and synthesis of fragrant molecules. From there, they joined Serono as a Senior Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry, contributing to drug discovery programs and optimizing HTS hit compounds for clinical development.

In 2007, Anna joined Merck Serono as a Principal Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry. In this role, they led drug discovery programs in neurodegenerative diseases and was responsible for optimizing chemical series up to the preclinical phase. Anna also led and motivated a multinational team of scientists and technicians, both internally and in collaboration with external partners.

Anna then moved to Asceneuron SA, where they held several positions, including Head of Medicinal Chemistry and Head of Non-Clinical Development and Medicinal Chemistry. In these roles, they were responsible for defining and implementing medicinal chemistry strategies, managing external partners, and designing small molecules for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.

In their most recent role at Draupnir Bio as Chief Discovery Officer, Anna continued to contribute to drug discovery efforts. Currently, they are slated to join Anavo Therapeutics BV in 2023 as the SVP Chemistry and Non-Clinical Development.

Anna Quattropani completed their Ph.D. in Organometallic Chemistry at the University of Geneva from 1991 to 1996. Following this, they pursued a Postdoctoral Research program in Organic Chemistry at UC Irvine from 1996 to 1998.
