Hayden Smith

Hayden Smith is a coastal engineer with a solid background in various engineering roles and extensive research experience. Currently serving as a Staff 2 Professional at Anchor QEA since September 2021, Hayden has also held positions as a Staff 1 Professional in coastal engineering. Previous experience includes an engineering internship at Oceaneering focused on NASA's Artemis Program, where efforts were directed towards lunar exploration. Academic research projects at Southwestern University involved a successful grant proposal and optimization of a thermoacoustic engine, along with leading a project on ocean wave energy conversion. Additionally, research as an assistant at California State University, Monterey Bay, focused on the physics of whale movement, resulting in a first-author paper set for publication. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Southwestern University.
