Scott McMurren

Scott McMurren has extensive experience in the travel and media industry, serving as the Publisher of Great Alaskan TourSaver since March 1999, where a 2-for-1 travel coupon book highlights diverse travel opportunities across Alaska. In addition, McMurren has been a Travel Columnist for Alaska Dispatch News since January 2009, contributing a weekly travel column for the state's largest newspaper. As the Owner of Alaska Travelgram since January 1999, McMurren publishes a weekly email travel newsletter focused on Alaskan travel. Prior to these roles, McMurren was a columnist for Anchorage Daily News from October 1982 to January 2009, covering both destination-oriented and consumer-oriented travel topics. Earlier career experience includes a sales position at KIMO TV from 1997 to 1999. McMurren holds a BS in Journalism from the University of Oregon.
