Hung Nguyen

Hung Nguyen has extensive work experience in the field of DevOps engineering and software development. Hung currently holds the position of DevOps Engineer at Anchore, where they started in January 2022.

Prior to this, Hung worked as a Senior DevOps Engineer at ThingWorx, a PTC Technology, from November 2019 to December 2021. During their time there, they were involved in sysadmin and automation tasks, managing Jenkins, Artifactory, and other CI/CD infrastructure. Hung also gained experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and writing automation scripts.

Before ThingWorx, Hung worked as a Software Development Engineer in Test at TraceLink from April 2019 to November 2019. Hung played a crucial role in assuring the quality of software releases and wrote automation scripts using Appium, a mobile automation framework.

Hung also worked at FootBridge Consulting as a Software Development Engineer in Test from December 2018 to April 2019.

Earlier in their career, Hung had various roles at ThingWorx, including ThingWorx Software Engineer (DevOps) from December 2016 to December 2018, and Associate Software Engineer (DevOps) from August 2015 to December 2016. In these positions, they were involved in managing CI/CD infrastructure, writing automation scripts, and configuring AWS.

Hung's earlier experience includes working as a Web Developer at Grey Side LLC from July 2014 to August 2015, where they utilized Python, Django, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web development tasks. Hung also gained exposure to version control systems like Git and Mercurial, as well as continuous integration testing using TravisCI.

Hung's work experience extends beyond the tech industry. Hung worked as a Lead Sushi Chef at Rolling Sun Sushi from March 2011 to July 2015, where they showcased excellent customer service skills and utilized sales analysis for strategic decision-making. Hung also worked as a Mail Room Specialist at Paychex from September 2013 to February 2014, where they demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Excel to improve package tracking and efficiency in data entry.

Additionally, Hung worked as a Mathematics Tutor at the UB Upward Bound Program from September 2011 to January 2012, where they provided tutoring services to students in subjects like Algebra, Trigonometry, and Precalculus.

Hung Nguyen attended the University at Buffalo from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. Their degree focused on Mathematics and Economics.
