Anchored Pathways to Higher Education is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in East Harris County, Houston, TX, providing college, career, and military readiness navigation for first-generation students and families.
We exist because the path to a postsecondary credential is not self-explanatory and for families who didn’t go through the system themselves, the gap between wanting to go and knowing how to get there can cost students their seat. We close that gap through one-on-one navigation sessions, drop-in clínicas, and standalone workshops, all available in English and Spanish at no cost to families.

What we do:
- Guide families through FAFSA, TASFA, financial aid packages, and enrollment decisions
- Help students compare college, community college, trade, certificate, and military pathways
- Support scholarship navigation, transfer planning, and summer melt prevention
- Deliver workshops on financial literacy, career exploration, college selection, and military pathways
- Provide follow-up and ongoing support so families don’t fall through the cracks

Who we serve:
First-generation students and families in East Harris County who need clear, honest guidance to make confident postsecondary decisions in the language they’re most comfortable in.

Where we work:
Community centers, church halls, school campuses, and wherever families already are.

We hold the Candid Silver Transparency Seal and operate as a lean, founder-funded organization committed to making every dollar visible.
