Peter Calkins

Peter Calkins is the current Vice President of Development at Ancora Partners. Peter has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, having worked with Forest City Realty Trust and Forest City Enterprises prior to joining Ancora Partners.

Calkins began their career in real estate development with DOBROTH & FRYER | CARDINAL PROPERTIES in 1983. Peter was promoted to Project Manager after three years with the company and then went on to co-found Cardinal Properties in 1986, serving as Vice President. In 1993, they left Cardinal Properties to join Forest City Enterprises as Executive / Senior Vice President of Forest City Boston / Science + Technology Group.

In 2016, Calkins left Forest City Enterprises to join Forest City Realty Trust as Senior Vice President, East Coast Development. Peter remained with the company until it was acquired by Brookfield Properties in December 2018. Calkins then joined Ancora Partners as Vice President of Development.
