Ion Nica is a seasoned aerospace engineer with extensive experience in mechanical design and systems engineering, currently serving as the Actuation Aerospace Sr. Design Engineer at Ancra International LLC since June 2012. Nica has successfully designed Power Drive Units for cargo systems in Boeing and Airbus aircraft, contributing to the development of cooling systems, planetary gearheads, and comprehensive technical documentation. Prior experience as a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer at RLM Manufacturing involved designing complex automated equipment and various actuation systems, while an earlier role at TURBOMECANICA included the design of ground fatigue test stands for helicopter gearboxes and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Nica holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mechanics, Bucharest.
