Fernando Montenegro Gallardo

Fernando Montenegro Gallardo has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Fernando has held positions such as Director of Strategy, Innovation and Technology (CTO and CIO) at El Colorado / Parques de Farellones, where they were responsible for implementing innovation and technological tools to optimize business operations. Fernando has also served as El Colorado Business Director, overseeing the ski resort's commercial and operational activities. As Chief Operating Officer (COO), they managed CAPEX and OPEX and supervised a team of managers and workers. Before their time at El Colorado, Montenegro Gallardo was Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the same company, responsible for defining and implementing the company's technology roadmap. Fernando has also worked as a Software Development Teacher at Universidad de Santiago de Chile and as the CEO of Include Informática SpA, a company specializing in technology solutions for Chilean businesses. Additionally, Montenegro Gallardo has held various roles at Excelsys and Sixbell, where they gained experience in IT service delivery, project management, innovation management, and software development. Fernando began their career as a partner and co-founder of Lamux Ltda., an information systems development and consulting firm.

Fernando Montenegro Gallardo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Sciences with a major in Computing from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile, which they obtained between 1999 and 2006. In 2012, they completed their high school diploma with a focus on Business Administration and Management at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Fernando further pursued their education at the same institution in 2019 and 2020, completing a Diploma in Strategy. In 2020 and 2021, Fernando attended the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Escuela de Negocios UAI. In addition to their formal education, Fernando Montenegro Gallardo has also obtained various certifications, including Advanced Business Strategy and Foundations of Business Strategy from Coursera Course Certificates, Introduction to Negotiation: A Strategic Playbook for Becoming a Principled and Persuasive Negotiator from Coursera Verified Certificates, and Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance.
