Lydia Ivy's work experience includes various roles in education and tutoring. Lydia currently works as a College Board AP Microeconomics Reader at ETS. Prior to that, they served as a Social Studies Teacher at Anderson Community Schools, where they designed and implemented lessons for AP Microeconomics, economics, and world history. Lydia also collaborated with staff members to create curriculum that utilized various teaching methods and integrated technology. Before that, they worked as a Tutor at The Excel Center, assisting adult students with difficult classwork and homework. Lydia also worked as an Event Usher and Student Tutor at Anderson University, where they assisted the audience, monitored surroundings, and helped students understand the material discussed in class. Additionally, they have experience as a High Adventure Staff member at SpringHill Camps and as a Track and Field Manager at Anderson University. Lydia Ivy also has self-employed experience as a Tutor.

Lydia Ivy obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies Teacher Education from Anderson University between 2012 and 2016. Lydia later pursued a Master of Science degree in Economics at Valparaiso University, starting in 2021 and expected to graduate in 2024. Prior to their university education, Lydia completed their high school education at Carmel High School from 2008 to 2012, receiving a Core 40 diploma with Academic Honors. In addition to their academic achievements, they also obtained a certification in Adult CPR/AED, Pediatric CPR, and First Aid from the American Red Cross in October 2015.
