Alejandra Acevedo Fani currently serves as a Senior Food Scientist at Massey University since October 2022 and as an Application Specialist at ANDFOODS since February 2024, where efforts focus on innovating the dairy alternatives sector through plant-based ingredients. Previously, Alejandra was a Researcher at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory from March 2020 to April 2023, and a Research Officer and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Riddet Institute from April 2017 to April 2023. Academic experiences include a Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from Universitat de Lleida, along with a Master's degree in the same field from the same institution, and a Bachelor's degree from Universidad de Oriente in Venezuela. Early career roles included a Quality Control Analyst at Puratos and a Teacher Assistant at Universidad de Oriente.
