Alejandro Olaya Davila

Alejandro Olaya Davila is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in innovation and entrepreneurship, currently serving as the National Manager of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Sectional Manager for Antioquia at ANDI - Asociación Nacional de Empresarios de Colombia since May 2019. Alejandro has held significant roles in various organizations including as the Chris Freeman Visiting Fellow at the University of Sussex Science Policy Research Unit in 2018, and as the General Director and Deputy Director at Colciencias between 2015 and 2018. Previous positions include Director of Science, Technology, and Innovation at the Gobernación de Antioquia and Coordinator of the Doctorate in Technology and Innovation Management at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, where Alejandro was instrumental in creating Colombia's first doctoral program in the field. Alejandro holds a Ph.D. in Economic and Business Sciences from Universidad CEU San Pablo and an Economist degree from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, complemented by an immersion program in Silicon Valley at the University of San Francisco.
