John O’Farrell

John O'Farrell is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in business development and strategy across various sectors, including technology and telecommunications. Currently serving as a National Board Member for UNICEF USA since July 2018, O'Farrell is also a General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, where recruitment as the first non-founding General Partner occurred in August 2010. Prior roles include EVP of Business Development at Silver Spring Networks and Opsware Inc., where notable achievements included leading international expansion efforts and managing significant mergers and acquisitions. O'Farrell's career encompasses leadership positions at Excite@Home, U S WEST, and Telecom Ireland, with a strong foundation in strategy development originating at Booz Allen and Hamilton. O'Farrell holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from University College Dublin.
