Peter Davenport has had a diverse career in engineering and electronics. Peter started as a freelance PCB designer at Sparkfun Electronics in 2008, where they also provided technical customer support. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as an assembly technician and electronics designer at TwinTec, where their responsibilities included loading and running CNC lathes and mills. In 2014, they joined Rhino Camera Gear and worked as a firmware and electrical engineer, developing their line of robotic film-making tools. Peter helped manage technical employees, soldered prototype circuit boards, and wrote standard operating procedure documents. From 2020 to 2023, they worked at Spacelabs Healthcare as a senior software and firmware engineer. In April 2021, they transitioned from software to firmware engineering. Peter is currently a senior firmware engineer at Andrews Cooper, where they have been working since June 2023. Andrews Cooper is an engineering services firm that provides engineering teams to clients in research and development, product development, hardware testing, and manufacturing automation.
Peter Davenport attended Tacoma Community College from 2011 to 2014 where they earned an Associate of Science degree, majoring in Computer/Electrical Engineering. Peter then enrolled at the University of Washington in 2017 and graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and Computational Biology. In 2018, they obtained a Nanofabrication Short Course certification from the University of Washington's Washington Nanofabrication Facility.
