Siobhan Masterson has more than 25 years of experience serving children and families in a range of settings, including Dr. Sandra Bloom's original Sanctuary unit. Most recently at ANDRUS, she served as the Director of Clinical Services and as Senior Campus Director, and throughout her career she has focused on developing innovative, trauma responsive treatment for children and their families. She has been trained in and has taught a number of clinical models, and is particularly interested in body and emotion regulation strategies, mindfulness practice, and the use of non-verbal and integrated therapies such as sandtray therapy and EMDR.
As a trainer, she developed curriculum for children using the SELF model and “Creating Sanctuary Within,” a program co-developed with the Garrison Institute. Before earning her Master’s in Clinical Social Work at Smith College, Siobhan spent several years working as a legislative advocate for children and families. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
