Chris Teixeira

Chris Teixeira is a Senior Flight Test Engineer at Vertical Aerospace since February 2024. Previously, Chris served as Test Engineering Manager and Head of Flight Test at AALTO HAPS, overseeing the Zephyr UAS program and developing its ground and flight test engineering capability. Chris also held the position of Lead Flight Test Engineer for Zephyr-type air systems, ensuring safety and effectiveness during test flights. With experience at BAE Systems, Chris worked as a Flight Test Lead and Experimental Pilot, leading flight crews, training, and managing an experimental flight test organization. Additionally, Chris contributed as a Flight Test Engineer on various aircraft and trials, focusing on UAS development, weapon system integration, and was involved in the Future Combat Air System Acquisition Programme. Educational qualifications include a BEng (Hons) in Engineering from The Open University and a Level 5 Diploma HND in Aeronautical Engineering from BAE Systems.
