Derek Goss

Derek Goss is a Development Engineer at Anduril Industries since August 2022, focusing on directing development test campaigns for hardware designs in extreme environments. Responsibilities include providing engineering support for prototypes and production units, executing various tests on air vehicles and ground systems, analyzing failures, and participating in an agile product team that achieved rapid deployment. Prior experience includes serving as Electric Powertrain Lead for Cornell Racing (FSAE), where Derek led the design of a high-performance powertrain and successfully implemented modular battery architectures. Additionally, experience at SpaceX involved avionics build for the Starship project, while internships at the Virginia Tech Assistive Robotics Lab and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine contributed to expertise in engineering and software development. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from Cornell University.
