Melody Yu

Melody (Naifang) Yu is a Mechanical Design Intern at JMA Wireless since June 2022, where improvements to the design of the injection molded motor mount of the Remote Electrical Tilt (RET) system have led to an 80% reduction in failures, alongside verified designs using ANSYS structural analysis. Prior experience includes roles at Cornell AutoBoat as a Mechanical Subteam member, Deeplocal as a Mechanical Engineering Intern, and Cornell Cup Robotics as a Mechanical Team Member, focusing on design, prototyping, and research. Additionally, Melody contributed as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Human Robot Collaboration & Companionship Lab and served as Vice President of the Cornell Club of Taiwan, enhancing leadership skills and promoting Taiwanese culture. Melody earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University in 2022.
