Nicholas Szakal

Nicholas Szakal is a Senior Flight Software Engineer at Anduril Industries, specializing in the Air Dominance and Strike Division, and serving as the Flight Software Tech Lead for the Barracuda 100 AAV since October 2022. Prior to this role, Nicholas worked at Northrop Grumman as a Principal Flight Software Engineer, where responsibilities included serving as Flight Software Control Account Manager and Tech Lead for National Security Space vehicles from inception to on-orbit operations. Nicholas began a career in software engineering at Leidos as an Associate Software Engineer, contributing to the Automated Flight Service Station Program, and has held engineering roles at the University of Georgia Small Satellite Research Laboratory and completed internships at IBM. Nicholas holds a Master of Science in Space Systems Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Engineering from The University of Georgia.
