Mario Paniccia

Mario Paniccia has a diverse and extensive work experience. Mario is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Anello Photonics since January 2020. Prior to that, from July 2016 to January 2020, Mario served as the Chief Executive Officer of Versalume, where they led the company in developing smart, integrated products and solutions. From July 2015 to June 2016, they worked as a Consultant and Strategic Advisor for various early-stage technology startups.

Mario has also had a long career at Intel Corporation, where they held several high-level positions. As an Intel Fellow and CTO of the Silicon Photonics Solutions Group, they contributed to the group's success from January to June 2015. Mario also served as an Intel Fellow and GM of the Silicon Photonics Solutions Group from January 2012 to December 2014. Before that, from January 2007 to January 2012, they were an Intel Fellow and Director of the Photonics Technology Lab. Mario started their career at Intel as a Researcher and Manager of the Photonics Technology Lab from January 1995 to December 2006.

Additionally, Mario had a summer internship at IBM in 1989. Throughout their career, Mario Paniccia has made significant contributions to the field of silicon photonics and has been involved in various research breakthroughs and world records.

Mario Paniccia has a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Binghamton University. Mario also holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from Purdue University. In 2014, they briefly attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business but did not pursue a specific degree or field of study during their time there.
