Amir Akbari has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Amir is currently the Co-Founder & CEO of Anessa since December 2015. Prior to that, they worked at the University of New Brunswick from January 2012 to January 2015, where they served as a Research Assistant, conducting literature reviews, surveys, and analysis for scholarly publications. Amir also worked as a Teaching Assistant, providing tutoring and assistance to bachelor students, and marking assignments and quizzes.

Before their time at the University, Amir worked at Mapna Turbine Engineering and Manufacturing Co. (TUGA) from July 2009 to July 2011 as a Manufacturing Engineer. At Mapna Group, they contributed to significant projects in the power generation, oil & gas, and rail industries, generating a total of 52,000 MW of electricity and exceeding 17 billion Euros in contractual value.

Prior to that, they worked at Kar & Andishe Payam - Electrogen Co. from July 2007 to June 2009 as a Machine Shop Engineer & Supervisor. This company aimed to meet Iran's needs for fractional electrical motors and pumps.

Overall, Amir Akbari has demonstrated strong capabilities in research, teaching, engineering, and leadership roles throughout their career.

Amir Akbari has a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick, which they obtained between 2011 and 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Tabriz from 2002 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Amir Akbari has also pursued additional certifications. Amir received special training in Advanced CNC Programming (Siemens 840D) from Pietro Carnaghi in September 2010. Amir also obtained special training in WALTER Cutting Tool from Walter AG (Walter Tools) in 2009.
