Jason Heffner

Jason Heffner is an accomplished Forest Carbon Associate at Anew, where roles have included Forest Carbon Analyst I and Forest Carbon Analyst since the merger of Element Markets and Bluesource in June 2022. Previous experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Pädagogische Hochschule Freiburg and working as a Summer Forester for the Government of Nova Scotia, in addition to roles as a Forest Technician with the Department of National Defence. Additional positions include Wildland Firefighter for the Government of Alberta and various responsibilities at a family-owned auto recycling business. Jason Heffner holds a Master of Science degree in Forestry from The University of Freiburg, a Master of Environmental Management from the University of New Brunswick, along with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and a Diploma in Forestry Technician from respective institutions.
