Ed Roman

Ed Roman is an experienced entrepreneur and venture capitalist, currently serving as Managing Partner at Hack VC since June 2017, focusing on early-stage investments. Roman founded hack.summit(), which set records for both the largest programmer and virtual conferences in history. With a strong background in angel investing as a Startup Investor and Syndicate Lead at AngelList, Roman has made over 200 investments and led one of the top-performing syndicates on the platform. Previously, Roman held executive roles such as CEO of HackHands, a marketplace for developer mentorship, and CEO of Ghostfire Games, known for innovative fitness video games. Additional experience includes board observer positions at NodeSource and Pluralsight, along with mentoring roles at Capital Factory. Ed Roman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Cornell University.
