Emma Patterson MD

Dr. Emma Patterson has a long and varied work experience. From 1990 to 2006, they were an usher for the Toronto Blue Jays. In 2006, they became the President and Bariatric Surgeon of Oregon Weight Loss Surgery, LLC, where they ran a comprehensive interdisciplinary surgical weight loss program and performed lap-band, gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy surgery, laparoscopically. In 2015, they became Regional Medical Director for AngelMD.

Emma Patterson MD began their education at the University of Calgary, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Cellular, Molecular and Microbial Biology in 1989. Emma then attended the University of Toronto, graduating with a Doctor of Medicine in 1993. Following this, they completed a General Surgery Residency Program at the University of British Columbia, earning their FRCSC in 1999. Finally, they completed a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2000.
