James Xu Shubi

Prior to joining Surgical Specialties in 2017 to run our China business, James was the Managing Director of Devicor Medical China. In this role, James was part of the management team that successfully spun off Johnson & Johnson’s breast care business to form Devicor. James helped more than double revenue from 2012 to 2015, leading to the acquisition of Devicor by Danaher. Prior to Devicor, James worked for Johnson & Johnson Medical China for 15 years, a cross numerous specialties including cardiovascular, orthopedics and women’s health. During his time at J&J, James was involved in businesses at various stages from start-up through sustainable growth periods. James graduated from Second Military Medical University in Shanghai, and also holds an MBA from Rutgers University School of Business.
