Derek Jones

Derek Jones has extensive experience in both military and ecclesiastical leadership roles. Since 2010, Derek has served as Bishop of the Jurisdiction of the Armed Forces and Chaplaincy for the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), providing formal ecclesiastical endorsement for chaplains serving in various capacities including the United States Military and Veteran’s Administration. Additionally, Derek has held the position of Bishop for the Convocation of Anglicans in North America (CANA) since September 2007, endorsing professional chaplains across several sectors. Prior to these roles, Derek served as a Fighter Pilot and Senior Officer in the United States Air Force from April 1980 to October 2009, where Derek was a combat veteran flying multiple aircraft and later oversaw a team of reservists focused on military doctrine.
