Sue Cooke

Sue Cooke has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Sue started their career in 1991 as a Clinical Nurse at Mater Private Hospital and later worked as a Clinical Facilitator at Queensland University of Technology. In 1997, they became the Clinical Nurse Manager of the Surgical Unit at Sunnybank Private Hospital and then took on the role of Education Coordinator/Clinical Development Nurse. Sue also worked as a Lecturer at Medical Terminology/Medical Register of Australia.

In 2001, Sue joined Canossa Services as a Staff Development Officer/Infection Control Coordinator. Sue then worked as the Education and Training Manager/Institute Director at Aged Care QLD/Australian Institute for Care Development from 2005 to 2009. Sue also served as the Business Improvement Project Officer at Organisational Development Group.

From 2010 to 2013, Sue worked at Anglicare SQ in various roles, including Learning & Development Lead, Acting - Group Manager Practice Development & Quality, and Regional Manager. Currently, they are the Executive Director at Anglicare Southern Queensland.

Sue Cooke completed a Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Southern Queensland between 2008 and 2014. Sue also holds a MEducation (Hons) degree from UNE, which they obtained from 1996 to 2001. In addition to these qualifications, they completed a Graduate Diploma in Continuing Education with a specialization in Adult Education at UNE from 1994 to 1996. Earlier in their education, Sue studied Nursing at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 1991 to 1993. Furthermore, their earliest educational experience was at Greenslopes Repatriation Hospital, without specifying the years.
