Emily Purvis

Executive Governance Officer at Anglicare

Emily is the Executive with responsibility for management and leadership of Anglicare’s internal and Board governance including internal audit and policy functions.

Emily joined Anglicare in 2015 as the Volunteers Manager, with responsibility for volunteers across the organisation and the management of key volunteer run programs, such as Anglicare’s Emergency Relief assistance program and the Disaster Recovery Program. In 2017, she assumed the role of Governance and Legal Manager with responsibility for internal governance and support for the Anglicare Board.

Prior to joining Anglicare, Emily spent over 17 years in the Commonwealth Public Service, including in the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Finance, Communications and Environment portfolios providing advice on a range of policy and program issues.

Emily holds a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Laws, Graduate Diploma of Antarctic and Southern Ocean Studies (Hons), Masters of Science, a Graduate Certificate in Management and a Certificate in Not-for-Profit Governance. She is a Member of the Governance Institute of Australia and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Company Director’s Course.
