Carlos Davila

Carlos Davila is an accomplished leader in the mining and resources sector with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, business development, and project management. As Head of Strategy & Business Development for Anglo American plc since 2006, Carlos oversees global coal-related M&A and serves as a Company Director for major coal and manganese entities. Prior to this, Carlos held several managerial roles at BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance, leading initiatives in commercial development and strategic projects that resulted in significant revenue generation and asset optimization. Educationally, Carlos holds a BSc in Metallurgy and Materials and a PhD in Metallurgy & Mineral Processing from Imperial College London, complemented by a Certificate in Business Administration from The University of Western Australia.
