Edgard J. Mendoza

Edgard J. Mendoza is an experienced mining professional with a strong background in mine planning and operations management. Currently serving as the Superintendent Mine Planning for Anglo American at the Quellaveco Mine since December 2018, Edgard is responsible for medium and short-term production planning while leading a technical team to enhance operational value. Prior roles include Superintendent Long Term Planning at MMG Limited for the Las Bambas operation, where significant asset value increases were achieved, and Long Term Planning Engineer at Glencore, focusing on various mine planning aspects using advanced software. Edgard also held key positions at Minera La Zanja S.R.L. and Barrick Gold Corporation, contributing to mining design and technical services. Edgard holds a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Trujillo and has furthered education at Harvard Business School.
