George Zhu

George Zhu, MBA, has extensive experience in the maritime industry, currently serving as General Manager and Country Representative for China at Anglo-Eastern since August 2009. Previous roles include Fleet Manager and General Manager + DPA, along with serving as QHSE Assistant Manager. Prior to this, Zhu worked at Singapore Ocean Tankers Pte Ltd from 2006 to 2009 as Master Mariner for VLCC vessels chartered by major clients such as BP and Shell. In 2007, Zhu briefly held the position of Deputy Managing Director at Zhejiang Shipyard in China, focusing on new building for tankers and bulk carriers. Zhu began the maritime career as Chief Officer for VLCC at Singapore Titan Oil from 2002 to 2003. Zhu earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, completed in July 2016.
