Jaasi Munanka

Jaasi Munanka has a strong legal background and extensive experience in both corporate and law firm settings. From 2004 to 2013, Munanka worked as a Partner at Hogan Lovells, specializing in various legal areas. In 2013, Munanka joined AngloGold Ashanti as the Vice President: Group Compliance (CCO), a role held until July 2019. Later, Munanka took on the position of Head of Legal Operations Africa at AngloGold Ashanti.

Jaasi Munanka has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Stanford University, which was obtained from 1991 to 1995. Following that, Munanka pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Michigan from 1996 to 1998. Additionally, Munanka attended the University of Michigan Law School and obtained a Doctor of Law degree from 1996 to 1999. In 2017, Munanka also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration and Management from the GIBS Business School (Gordon Institute of Business Science).
