Marcelo Godoy

Marcelo Godoy is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at AngloGold Ashanti. Prior to this role, Marcelo held various senior positions at Newmont Corporation and Golder. With a strong background in mining and geology, Marcelo has also worked as a Principal Mining Consultant at MCG and served as a Research Scholar at W. H. Bryan Mining & Geology Research Centre. Marcelo holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Mine Planning from The University of Queensland, a Master's Degree in Geostatistics from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining from the same university.
