Gregory Thompson has over 15 years of experience in the IT field. Gregory began their career in 2005 as a Solutions Architect for EDS Technologies, where they were responsible for developing technical solutions with Windows 2000/2003 Active Directory and Novell / eDirectory operating systems, managing relationships with clients, vendors, and various EDS teams, and providing third-level engineering support for Windows 2000/2003 and Novell Netware operating systems. In 2007, they worked as a Senior Windows Server Engineer (Contractor) at the University of Adelaide, where they were responsible for trouble shooting Windows/AD issues, evaluating Windows 2008 firewall, migrating from WSUS to SCCM, setting up SAV enterprise, creating new VM servers/ physical to VM migration, and setting up Cluster Continuous Replication for Window 2008/Exchange 2007. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Senior Winter Engineer at Serco, where they were part of a team that supported over 100 Wintel servers and was responsible for Barracuda Web Filter. From 2011 to 2014, they worked at Hewlett-Packard as a Technology Consultant III, where they were part of a team that supported over 500 Wintel servers, including a Citrix farm of over 150 servers, and was responsible for VMware updates. In 2016, they worked at Purisolve, Inc. as a Senior IT Specialist/Section Lead, where they were part of a team that upgraded 7,000 Windows 2003 servers to Windows Server 2008, 2012 for a major government agency. From 2017 to 2018, they worked at AEEC, LLC as a Sr Systems Analyst/Collaboration Tools Analyst. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at Makpar Corporation as a Senior IT Specialist/Section Lead. Currently, they are working at Anika Systems as a Senior System Engineer Team Lead, where they are part of a team that is upgrading 7,000 Windows 2008 servers to Windows Server 2012, 2019 for a major government agency.

Gregory Thompson attended Malverne High School and then went on to the University of Maryland, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Commercial and Advertising Art. In August 2020, they obtained a Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft.
