Animal Welfare and Behavior

The Animal Welfare and Behavior team at Animal Care Centers of NYC focuses on ensuring the physical and psychological well-being of all animals in their care. This multidisciplinary team provides medical care, behavioral assessments, and enrichment activities to improve the quality of life for animals and enhance their adoptability. They also train staff and volunteers on best practices for humane animal handling and behavior modification.
