Sinan Özcan, Ph.D.

Sinan Özcan, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of aircraft engineering. Sinan started their career in 2008 at Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii, where they held multiple roles over the years. As a Structural Design Engineer, they were responsible for designing composite fuselages and frames, creating technical drawings, and designing payload and avionic test equipment installations. Sinan then transitioned to a Tool Design Engineer role, where they designed composite lay-up tools for various helicopter projects using CATIA software. Finally, as a Flight Control Law and Algorithm Design Engineer, they were responsible for designing and developing the automatic flight control system for the Turkish Light Utility Helicopter, including control laws and mode logic algorithms. In September 2021, they joined Animal Dynamics Limited as a Senior Control System Engineer.

Sinan Özcan, Ph.D. has an extensive education history in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Sinan obtained their Bachelor's degree from Gazi University, where they studied from 2002 to 2007. Following their Bachelor's degree, they continued their education at Gazi University and completed their Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2009 to 2012. Sinan Özcan further pursued their academic career and achieved a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Gazi University from 2012 to 2018.
